What is Reflections?
Reflections is a National PTA and Washington State PTA cultural arts recognition program. The purpose is to provide an opportunity for students to use their creative talents by expressing themselves through their own original works for the theme. Students may enter 1 entry into each or any of the following categories: Dance; Film; Literature; Music Composition; Photography; Visual Arts. You can read more about these categories HERE.
Student winners from each PTA have the opportunity to move up through their district, region, council, and state PTA programs to the national level. National Reflections winners are announced in May and celebrated annually at the National PTA Convention & Expo in June. National PTA then collects and curates the traveling exhibit for the next year.

Young artists get involved through their local PTA or PTSA. A student may submit an entry in any of six arts areas. Only original works of art are accepted. The six art areas are: Visual Arts Photography, Literature, Music Composition, Dance Choreography, and Film Production.
