Get the Word Out!
Effective communication between students, parents, teachers, and the community promotes meaningful outcomes to strengthen partnerships between all education stakeholders. Through our comprehensive communication plan, including eNews, The Talon Newsletter, and the Atrium TV, the Eastgate PTA provides effective tools to support student, parent, teacher, community and staff engagement.
Different people can support each of our different communication options so please make sure you copy each of the mailbox options you wish to publish to.

The eNews is a weekly newsletter that is delivered to your email inbox every Monday. PTA Chairs or members can submit information to be included in the eNews no later than 8PM Thursday evenings to mprivat@comcast.net. Please include the Name of Event, activity, deadline or issue, who is involved, how people can help, where people with questions should be directed, and any other relevant information. Information should be kept to the immediate 10 days. Anything submitted after 8Pm on Thursdays will be included at the eNews editor's discretion.

AtriumTV is a TV that serves as a rolling bulletin board in the atrium of Eastgate Elementary School. Chairs will write and submit information for AtriumTV. Information should be provided by the 25th of the month should be submitted to mprivat@comcast.net. Information appropriate for inclusion on the AtriumTV include but are not limited to:
o Events
o Pictures of events
o Event Winners, Event Summaries etc.

o Did you know…. Things PTA funds….
o One –two sentence quick reminders
Submitted slides will run on a monthly basis like the newsletter, unless the defined event is clearly in the future.
HRP refers to our Head Room Parent Coordinator. Each one of the classrooms has a head room parent representative whose job first and formost is to make sure that all the classroom needs are being met. If you would like to distribute information through the room parents, please send the information to the Room Parent Coordinator Sarah Howard eastgatehrp@gmail.com We would like to avoid using this channel as a last minute communication but if the eNews has alrady gone out this is an option. You may plan to make it part of your overall event communication strategy in which case contact the HRP coordinator as soon as possible.
