What is the PTA ?

The Parent-Teacher Association (PTA), is a private, not-for-profit organization of parents, teachers and community members determined to better the lives of children by supporting programs that better their academic success and social well-being.

WHY JOIN THE PTA?

1. An opportunity to meet and get to know other parents at Eastgate.

2. A way to make a positive impact on your child’s elementary education and school.

3. To feel better connected with your community and build lasting friendships.

4. To be a positive volunteer role model for our kids.

5. To engage in partnerships with school administration and staff.

6. A vote on critical PTA business such as budget and bylaws, election of officers and more.

7. Belong to a State and National PTA agency that work to improve the health, welfare, education and safety of all children through lobbying and legislature work.

PTA MEMBERSHIP

When you join the Eastgate PTA, you are automatically a member of our local, as well as state and national associations.

PTA membership allows you the ability to vote on critical PTA business such as adopting the year’s budget and bylaws and electing future officers. Being a part of a state and national organization allows our PTA to benefit from outstanding training & support, the ability to vote on state and national issues and allows the Eastgate PTA ability to raise funds to support our programs!

Members are not required to attend meetings or to participate as a volunteer but together as a team, we become advocates for our children’s health, welfare, education and safety.
