Eastgate Students Honored
at
Council-Level Reflections Award Ceremonies!!!
Eastgate has three students who were recently honored at Council-level Reflections Award Ceremonies. At the Literature Ceremony, held January 4th at the University Bookstore in Bellevue, Ryleigh Grover's poem, "Diversity and Me" was given the Award of Excellence, while Akemi Takahashi's writing, "Desert Odyssey" was awarded Outstanding Interpretation. Both students were invited to read aloud from their works.
An additional ceremony held on January 8th at Crossroads recognized those recieving awards in the categories of Visual Arts, Photography, Film, Dance Choreography, and Music Composition. Here, Leo Li's visual art piece, " Diversity Means Infinity " was awarded Outstanding Interpretation. Works receiving the Outstanding Interpretation award will go on to represent our community at the State Level Reflections Contest in May, so keep your eyes out for more news about Akemi's and Leo's entries.
